Isongo Investment has three subsidiaries, namely Isongo Mining (Pty) Ltd, Isongo Drilling (Pty) Ltd and Isongo Rail (Pty) Ltd. The industries of choice have traditionally been inaccessible to Black South Africans. Isongo Rail (Pty) Ltd is a rail engineering maintenance company. In order to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability, the company has chosen to identify the most suitable partners that will enhance the goals and objectives in the shortest possible time, thereby taking advantage of the opportunities that are resultant from change in market and legal environment.
Background
The company was formed based on the demand in the market for a diversified investment company that is focused on engineering maintenance and contracts management. There was also a great need for young yet experienced Black entrepreneurs with strong technical background that will deliver the desired outcomes in the chosen area of business. Isongo Rail (Pty) Ltd is a company that is owned 49% by JLT (R.Gebers Trust) and 51% by Wiseman Nyembe (Sinamuva Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd).

2011 – Bombardier – successfully completed grinding entire Gautrain line addressing peaked flash butt welds, corrective and mill scale grinding.
